If you read my earlier post here, you may have noticed two iconic mountain peaks featured in many of our resort views. One of the most common activities I read about while planning our trip to Saint Lucia was hiking Gros Piton, which is the peak on the left of our resort when facing the water.

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

During my visit to Alaska last summer, I had such high hopes to see the bears fishing during the salmon run, which occurs every year between June and August.

Alaska Trip: Aialik Glacier Kayaking Tour

Sea kayaking to a glacier was one of the activities that I was most excited about on this trip (see where we stayed here). I met up with my sister in Alaska last August, around the time that Orcas and Humpback whales are often spotted, so I was eager to find an activity that grouped a whale watching tour with a glacier tour.

Where to stay in Alaska: Alyeska Resort

When my sister invited me to meet her in Alaska last summer, where she often goes for work, I jumped at the opportunity and immediately booked my plane ticket. Our timing was perfect for whale watching, seeing the bears out during the salmon run, and enjoying Alaska without the subzero temperatures.

Seattle Weekend Getaway and Food Tour

Last month, we spontaneously met our friends in Seattle for a weekend getaway. We basically had one full day to explore, so we did our best to hit all of the highlights. Our foodie friends also ensured we were very well fed.

When in Rome...

Rome may not have been built in a day, but you can certainly walk it in one. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Capri Island Tour

On our last day in Positano, we woke early to join Cassiopea Positano for a small group boat tour to Capri. The tour included round trip transfer to Capri, stops at several grottos for swimming and photo ops by the mystical Fariglioni rock formations, and free time to explore the island.

Best of Tuscany Tour

Visiting Italy for the first time was such a dream come true. The entire country is so beautiful and the people are full of passion and zest for life.

It was nearly impossible to pick only a few cities to visit it on our trip especially when there is so much to see in each destination.

Paris Museum Highlights

On our final morning in Paris, we checked out of our charming Airbnb apartment and took the Metro to the Musee de l'Orangerie to see arguably Monet's greatest work "The Water Lilies."
