Spring Blooms in Houston
Spring is one of my favorite times to be in Houston. One reason for this is that the flowers start blooming as early as March. One day we noticed that the azaleas seemed to be at their peak around Hermann Park so we went exploring.
We started our walk through the McGovern Centennial Gardens, which is one of my favorite places in the city. The rose garden inside is so stunning when the flowers are in full bloom. I also love walking by the fountains and seeing what is growing in the community garden. Most recently I found blackberries, avocados, and limes growing!
Afterwards we continued walking through Hermann Park towards the Museum of Fine Arts. We found the building surrounded by the most beautiful azalea bushes in full bloom. I'm so glad we went when we did because a week later all of the blooms were gone.
Finally, we walked to dinner in Rice Village. I wore this Yumi Kim floral cutout midi dress that I've been obsessed with since I bought it. I love the covered buttons, the cutout waist with tie knot detail, and the pretty violet color. I meant to bring it with me to Tulum (see here), but it was delivered too late. I'm so glad I finally got a chance to wear it in this perfect spring weather.
